Dougal is a special One of a Kind old style bear with true country Bumpkin spirit. He was nominated as a finalist for
the 2006 Teddy Bear Scene Readers Choice Awards.
Dougal is not a bear to get big headed but deep down he
felt pretty excited and proud to be a nominee. Whoever adopts him will receive a signed copy of the Award page where
Dougal is featured in this international magazine.
Dougal makes great plans for adventures, most of which only last as long as the first pot of honey he comes across! He hears
the buz-z-z-z of the honey bees from miles away with his big beary ears! Thanks to all this honey he has a substantial weight
to him, with a gorgeous cuddly tummy.
I designed and hand made his back pack out of vintage antiqued leather, which he loves to take with him on his adventures.
As he wanders home across the fields he always picks some grass for the horses and wild flowers for me - Dougal is such a kind soul -
a true beary friend for life
Dougal is 19.5" (50cm) from his toes to the tip of his great beary ears! He is made of a gorgeous batik style wavy top quality
Schulte mohair in shades of chocolate brown and toffee. He has endearing black glass eyes with white felt backing to bring out
his character further. With a wobble jointed head he has a true old ted saggy look about him, looking so very cute sat on
a shelf looking longingly at you asking for a hug!
