I’m Catherine Young, the British Artist that brings Bumpkin Bears & Friends alive for you. Growing up amongst the English countryside gave me a life long love of nature and all the animals that are part of it. My storybook imagination never stopped as I grew up, always busy creating hand made gifts and stories based on the animal friends I would meet on my daily adventures, through the apple orchard and out across the fields!

With sketchbooks full of ideas there will always be special moments that I will capture, so the door is always open to our Home, just follow the country lane.

Later on at College and University I studied Art, Textiles, Photography and Communications. After a move to Belgium I brought to life the design business, Bumpkin, a name inspired by the nickname, Country Bumpkin, my Granny gave me. My Business was started through creating Collector’s Bears, that have found homes right across the globe and featured in many publications. Bumpkin has now expanded into a whimsical range of illustrated Prints & Paper Goods that not only delight a childs imagination, but any adult that still holds onto the magical side of their childhood.
